aberdeen

Aberdeen Airport is an international airport, located at Dyce in the City of Aberdeen, approximately 5 NM (9.3 km; 5.8 mi) northwest of Aberdeen city centre. 3.29 million passengers used Aberdeen Airport in 2008, a reduction of 3.6% compared with 2007, making it the 14th busiest airport in the UK. The airport was the second busiest airport in Scotland, and sixth busiest in the UK by number of flight movements in 2008.

Aberdeen Airport is the hub of bmi Regional (a subsidiary of bmi) and Eastern Airways. The Airport also serves as the main heliport for the United Kingdom's offshore oil industry. Installations serviced directly from Aberdeen stretch from the Argyll field (approx 56°N) to the Bruce field (60°N).

The airport has one main passenger terminal, serving scheduled and charter holiday flights. In addition, there are 3 terminals dedicated to North Sea helicopter operations, used by Bristow Helicopters, CHC-Scotia, and Bond Offshore Helicopters. There is also a terminal adjacent to the main passenger terminal, Broomfield House, used primarily for oil company charter flights to Scatsta in Shetland, operated by Eastern Airways.

In 2007 following the decision by the current provider to cancel operations we entered into a tender process to provide ramp services for the Integrated Aviation Consortium (IAC), 12 flights a day between Aberdeen (ABZ) and Scatsta in the Shetland Isles (SCS) on behalf of Royal Dutch Shell and other members of the IAC. Aviation Ground Support Limited were successful in their bid to provide ramp services support and in December 2007, after a very short lead-time become operational, our dedicated team started work with Eastern Airways (previously operated by Flightline) moving offshore workers to Scatsta Airport.  Our product continues to be safe, consistant and professional; providing all of the ramp service requirements for the IAC business.

stansted

London Stansted Airportis a passenger airport located at Stansted Mountfitchet in the local government district of Uttlesford in Essex, 48 km (30 mi) north-east of central London. It is 2.5 NM (4.6 km; 2.9 mi) north northeast of Bishop's Stortford and about 6 mi (9.7 km) outside Harlow.

Stansted is a hub for a number of major European low-cost carriers. It is the third-busiest airport in the United Kingdom and the third-largest airport serving the London area after Heathrow and Gatwick; it is one of London's five international airports, along with Luton and London City.

In the summer of 2004, AGS Limited entered into discussion with Channel Express re the provision of handling service at Stansted International Airport.

AGS endeavours to employ the best staff available and we encourage a flexible, committed approach to the task. We are proud of the personal high standard and skill of our staff, which was instrumental in us passing the stringent audit process operated by BAA Stansted. AGS were awarded a full handling licence, by March 2005 employed over 50 staff, and were the preferred handling provider for eleven different airlines including Jet 2, Blue 1, Titan Airways, Flyglobespan and FlyMe.Although AGS retain the ability to provide full handling services at Stansted Airport we no longer have an airport operation.

From the early days of our existence, we have valued the importance of self-sufficiency and created our own training department. The training department is still based in Stansted and is located a short distance from the terminal building at the Stansted Centre Parsonage Road, Takeley.  We are now entering into our fifth year providing ramp training services, we continue to support a number of organisations by providing a professional and compliant services.  We specialise in Deicing Operative training and continue to work with both domestic and international operators.

humberdside

Humberside Airport is situated at Kirmington in the Borough of North Lincolnshire, England, 10NM west of Grimsby and around 15 mi (24 km) from Scunthorpe.   It is a small international airport, owned by the Manchester Airport Group (MAG), the largest UK-owned airport group, acquiring Humberside Airport in 1999. In 2008, MAG announced that it was conducting a review of their strategy for Humberside Airport, and all options including disposal were under consideration. In December 2008, MAG announced they intend to retain Humberside Airport, due to a number of investments, such as the new £1.6 million perishables hub. There has also been the recent development of a new hotel for the use by the oil rig workers and other business passengers and airport related business. The hotel is a temporary structure run by Nightel, a locally based niche business, there will be a permanent structure built in the next five years once demand for the facility has been confirmed.  It is a major operating base for helicopters flying to North Sea gas platforms, and is in fact the second busiest heliport in the UK, behind Aberdeen Airport in Scotland.

In July 2010 a customer of AGS, based at Norwich International Airport asked us to review Humberside airport with a specific intention of providing a cleaning service for them and we were happy to oblige.  By August 2010 AGS started a cleaning operation at Humberside Airport.  Initally a small operation but we are proud to say that our approach to customer service; providing a value for money, quality driven product has directly led to the success of the AGS brand and AGS commencing services at Humberside.  We are confident that this is merely a starting point and we look forward to working with other businesses in the future.
